Does MYLO Change My Phone System Without Asking Me?
Using AI to understand a request does not mean giving AI uncontrolled access to your phone system. Learn how MYLO separates conversation from approval and controlled execution.
No—the chat experience is not intended to give the AI unrestricted permission to rewrite your live telephony configuration. MYLO separates understanding the request from executing a consequential change. The guided browser explicitly tells the user that nothing changes until the existing approval path permits it.
Quick answer
- Start from the business outcome; MYLO uses conversation to gather or clarify the information it needs.
- Consequential telephony work stays inside the product's permissions, validation and approval boundaries.
- The telecom provider remains responsible for public numbers, carrier service, capacity and provider-side conditions.
AI understanding is separated from execution
AI Can Understand the Request Without Owning the Change
The AI layer is useful for normal language, clarification, evidence selection and user-facing explanation. The actual mutation tools are not freely callable: v0.35 rejects mutating tools outside the approved operation pipeline.
MYLO Shows Structured Work Before Execution
A supported configuration change is staged and validated first. The approval snapshot records the operation that was reviewed. At execution time, MYLO rechecks the authoritative state/checksum so an approval cannot casually be reused after the underlying file changed.
The Safety Chain Continues After Approval
The product help describes the path as approval, backup of affected Asterisk files, atomic application, reload, verification and rollback on failure. This is why the business benefit is more than “AI writes config”: MYLO wraps configuration in a controlled operational process.
Permissions Still Matter
Not every logged-in person has the same authority. v0.35 seeds Admin, Dialer and Viewer access, and specialist/tool permissions are checked again at execution. A Dialer user can work with campaign responsibilities without receiving unrestricted configuration authority.

Custom Requirements and Telecom Responsibility
MYLO configures and operates the customer's local telephony layer; it is not the telecom carrier. Numbers, trunk service, calling charges and provider-side permissions remain with the customer's telecom provider. Where a requirement sits outside the standard MYLO package, MyLineHub can discuss it as a Custom Requirement.
Customisation does not override telecom-provider conditions, customer-consent obligations or applicable Indian telecom requirements. The final calling design must use services and number-routing methods that the business is permitted to use.
