MYLO is an on-premise business telephony appliance with an AI Configuration Agent. Learn how it helps a business set up and manage incoming calls, IVR, users and outbound calling through a guided browser experience.

What Is MYLO, and What Can It Do for a Small Business Phone System?

MYLO is an on-premise business telephony appliance built for a small business that wants professional incoming and outgoing calling without turning every change into a telecom engineering project. The important idea is simple: you work through a browser and describe the business outcome to MYLO.

Its AI Configuration Agent helps understand the request, asks for missing information and explains the proposed work; the controlled local services then handle approved configuration around the Asterisk telephony engine.

Quick answer

  • Start from the business outcome; MYLO uses conversation to gather or clarify the information it needs.
  • Consequential telephony work stays inside the product's permissions, validation and approval boundaries.
  • The telecom provider remains responsible for public numbers, carrier service, capacity and provider-side conditions.

Think of MYLO as the Local Calling Centre for Your Business

The telecom provider still supplies the outside calling service: your business number or numbers, the carrier connection, available channels and calling charges. MYLO sits on your premises and manages what happens after that provider connection reaches the appliance. That can include telephone users, incoming routes, IVR menus, outgoing calling rules and supported outbound campaigns.

You do not need to learn the word “PBX” before understanding the product. If you encounter it, it simply refers to the phone-system layer that decides how calls are handled. MYLO gives that layer a guided, chat-first management experience while Asterisk remains the engine that actually executes calls.

What Can I Ask MYLO to Help Configure?

  • Set up the local carrier connection after you provide the provider information.
  • Create and manage the configured telephone-user profiles.
  • Decide whether an incoming business number should reach an extension, an external mobile destination or an IVR.
  • Configure supported outgoing calling mappings.
  • Prepare supported outbound campaigns and their connection flow.
  • Guide a test call so the setup is checked with call evidence rather than only saved settings.

These are not generic promises. They correspond to the v0.35 setup domains for network, AI provider, carrier trunk, telephone users, incoming calls, outgoing calls and test call.

The Chat Is the Front Door, Not the Telephone Engine

You: “I want callers to press 1 for Sales and 2 for Support.”
MYLO: It can identify the missing destinations, inspect the current state and guide the supported change through review and approval.

This separation matters. AI is useful for language, clarification and explanation. It is not left to improvise live call execution. MYLO uses controlled validation, permissions, backup and verification around consequential configuration work.

What You Still Arrange Outside MYLO

A MYLO appliance does not create a telecom service by itself. Your business still needs a suitable provider connection, numbers, Internet/networking as required, power protection and the phones or softphones your employees will use. Standard MYLO also does not include an AI voice bot that talks to customers; that is a separate Custom Requirement.

For package boundaries, compare what is included in a MYLO appliance with what remains outside the appliance.

Custom Requirements and Telecom Responsibility

MYLO configures and operates the customer's local telephony layer; it is not the telecom carrier. Numbers, trunk service, calling charges and provider-side permissions remain with the customer's telecom provider. Where a requirement sits outside the standard MYLO package, MyLineHub can discuss it as a Custom Requirement.

Customisation does not override telecom-provider conditions, customer-consent obligations or applicable Indian telecom requirements. The final calling design must use services and number-routing methods that the business is permitted to use.
