What Happens If I Pause MYLO or the Box Restarts During a Campaign?
Campaigns need to survive normal operational interruptions safely. This article explains pause, resume and restart behaviour from the business user's perspective rather than exposing scheduler internals.
MYLO v0.35 persists campaign state so an ordinary pause or service restart does not require the business to rebuild the campaign from memory. The rules are deliberately deterministic: pausing stops new submissions while active calls finish, and restart reconciliation releases interrupted reservations without redialling an attempt that is already recorded as completed.
Quick answer
- Start from the business outcome; MYLO uses conversation to gather or clarify the information it needs.
- Consequential telephony work stays inside the product's permissions, validation and approval boundaries.
- The telecom provider remains responsible for public numbers, carrier service, capacity and provider-side conditions.
Pause, resume and restart are different events
| Decision | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pause | Stop new submissions while active calls are allowed to finish. |
| Resume | Continue from persisted campaign state. |
| Restart | Reconcile interrupted local reservations and avoid blindly starting from the top. |
| Review | Check calls/runs/report evidence after an unusual interruption. |
Pause Means “Stop Sending New Calls”
When a campaign is paused, MYLO does not tear down calls that are already active simply because the button was pressed. It stops new submissions and lets the active calls reach their outcome. This makes pause behaviour understandable for operators and customers.
Resume Continues From Persisted Campaign State
The campaign service stores lead status, attempts, runs and campaign lifecycle in SQLite-owned application state. Resuming therefore uses the recorded state rather than asking an AI model which customer should be called next.
Restart Reconciliation Protects Against Careless Redial
A restart can interrupt an in-progress reservation. v0.35 reconciles interrupted reservations and specifically avoids redialling a completed attempt. That does not mean every external carrier event is magically recoverable; it means the local campaign engine has explicit restart rules instead of starting the list from the top.
Review the Report After an Interruption
The campaign reporting path exposes customers, calls, runs and run reports. After an unusual interruption, review the results rather than assuming every in-flight call produced a clean final event. The product’s current status notes that real carrier/reboot persistence still needs target-appliance verification, so production acceptance should include a real restart test.

Use MYLO Within Your Telecom and Customer-Consent Rules
MYLO provides the telephony and campaign layer; it does not turn an unapproved calling practice into an approved one. Businesses using outbound or automated calling must follow the current rules that apply to their purpose, sender registration, consent, customer preferences and telecom-provider service. TRAI maintains current guidance for commercial-communication senders and explains spam and unsolicited commercial communication.
Customisation is welcome. MyLineHub can discuss a Custom Requirement when the standard MYLO package does not cover the required workflow. Any custom implementation must still use telecom resources lawfully and follow applicable provider conditions and Indian telecom requirements.
